We are concerned citizens of Dona Ana County fighting to protect our jobs, businesses and way of life from an off-reservation casino at Anthony, NM and an explosion of casinos in the Las Cruces area.

The first casino would be built by Santa Fe developers using very unusual methods."

Under their scheme, the developers would buy land at Anthony for the Jemez Pueblo 300 hundred miles away in Northern New Mexico. They then plan to ask the Secretary of Interior to let them build a huge casino by having the land designated as part of the reservation.

It’s an outrageous scheme that would seriously damage our economy. All the profits would go up North, the casino would pay no taxes and provide no jobs to the Native Americans Indian casinos are supposed to help.

We invite you to join us. Gather petition signatures, E-mail the Secretary of Interior and the Dona Ana County Commission and ask your friends and neighbors to help. You can also call 505-874-3170 to join the committee and get info and petitions

All New Mexicans are encouraged to join because if they are allowed to do this in Dona Ana County, they will be able to do it anywhere in our state. A casino on every corner??
